Welcome to the mountains, where we boast miles of marked hiking trails in both winter and summer. Find yourself a place to rest, let your gaze wander to the horizon, and take out the goodies in your backpack. Conversation flows more easily when you're wearing your hiking boots and taking in nature.

Geilo offers countless activities
Geilo offers activities for all ages and abilities, both in summer and winter. As a spring, summer, and fall destination, Geilo boasts activities for everyone. How about horseback riding in the high mountains, cycling on mountain trails, or a breezy ride on a zipline?
The ski season lasts from around mid-November to the end of April. The ski slopes are located on both sides of the valley surrounding Geilo town center. The ski bus stops frequently right outside the entrance to Bardøla Fjelltun. There are opportunities for ski-in if you are coming from Havsdalen and après-ski.
